About US
Not a Toy.
Built by two collectors, for collectors everywhere. NOTATOY started as a shared obsession on a phone screen. Today it's where diecast enthusiasts across India find premium scale models, display gear and scenes worth photographing.
It started with one shelf
getting fuller.
We started collecting Hot Wheels the way some people collect songs,
one at a time, for the love of it. We watched that shelf grow for months
before we said the quiet part out loud:
this isn't just a hobby, this could be something.
In 2024, we turned that instinct into NOTATOY:
no warehouse, no funding, just a WhatsApp group, a few OLX listings,
a Facebook page and a website built on Canva.
Every sale was a Hot Wheels car, and every buyer was someone who
understood exactly why a ₹200 casting mattered.
We weren't collecting just for ourselves or to save on better pricing from our own sources. Somewhere along the way we realized other people wanted this too, they just didn't have a place built for them yet.
From one shelf to a shop.
Just Hot Wheels, and a lot of hustle.
WhatsApp broadcasts, OLX listings, a Facebook page and a Canva-built site. That was the whole operation. Every casting sold was proof the idea worked.
The first NOTATOY product.
The NOTATOY Diorama Mat, designed and made in-house. It turned parking-lot photos into film sets, and became the breakout hit that funded everything after it.
Rotating displays join the shelf.
Riding the mat's momentum, NOTATOY launched rotating display cases, giving collectors a way to actually show what they'd been hiding in drawers.
Miniature trees and scenery.
Tiny trees, props and set-dressing pieces arrived, the small details that turn a photo of a car into a scene.
The breakout: Mini GT & Pop Race.
NOTATOY graduated from accessories to the models collectors actually chase: premium 1:64 Mini GT and Pop Race releases, sourced with the same care as that first shelf.
Going in-house: our own acrylic cases.
NOTATOY started manufacturing its own Mini GT and Kaido House acrylic display cases, built to the same fit and finish as the models they hold. See the range .
Building the community, one order at a time.
The mission hasn't changed since 2024: serve the community that made this possible, and give every collector, whether brand new or years deep into the hobby, a place built for them.
Two people. One growing garage.
